Balsam oil: Therapeutic properties and uses.
External use: When used externally it has antiseptic and healing properties. It is the number one wound healer because of its ability to regenerate cells. Extremely effective for burns, bruises, inflammations, pimples, calluses, insect bites, colds, cramps, sprains, grips, skin diseases, neuralgia, haemorrhoids. It is also effective for rheumatism, sciatica and varicose veins. It is ideal for soothing, therapeutic and muscle relaxing massage.
With the oil we make smears on the wounds, burns or light abrasions on the sore part. Try it on your babies without fear of convulsions and forget the soothing-healing creams.
Internal use: Highly recommended for colitis, stomach aches and pains, ulcers, reflux, painful digestion and headache. Soothes your stomach. It is considered that it strengthens the immune system and is rich in vitamin E. St John's-wort, as an infusion or tincture is also drunk for colds. It works effectively in cases of bronchitis and asthma.
